z/OS System (Titan)

NIH plans to retire its mainframe computing services, including the Titan legacy and zLinux platforms, ideally by September 30, 2015. Refer to the related articles in Titan News.

The NIH Data Center's z/OS mainframe system (Titan) provides an efficient, reliable and economical computing environment, and offers robust commercial products and tools.

Titan uses IBM's JES2 and provides the following services:

  • Oracle client

Language Compilers

  • PL/I
  • REXX
  • High Level Assembler
  • C/C++

Statistical Systems (limited support)
