This is the sevice that connects Building to Building and NIH to the World. This is the physcial installation of Fiber and Copper to support Network and Voice services back to Building 10 and Building 12 and then to the World. This also includes all of the Dark FIber Connectivity. But this is the stuff Maintenance Man-Hole and Risers to connect all of the systems at the NIH.
Inter/Intra Building Connectivity provides Voice, Wide Area Network (WAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), and Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity via the Copper and Fiber Optic backbone systems to support the NIH IT Infrastructure to include Horizontal cabling. These Systems connect NIH locations on and off the Bethesda Campus.
