Facilities Network Services (FACnet)

FACnet provides, installs and maintains hardware that controls access to NIH buildings. FACnet links access priviliges to the HHS ID badge - or Personal Identifity Verification (PIV) card - the common government identification card for all HHS Agencies.  FACnet helps customers reduce the number of staff who can enter a building or a section of a building by way of badges.

Additional benefits include reduced energy costs, reduced personnel costs, and security for NIH personnel.
