Mainframe (Titan) Services offer an efficient, reliable, economical computing environment for enterprise applications for NIH and other government agencies. Services include TSO, batch and interactive processing, ISPF, DB2, IMS, programming languages, web services (SILK/Shadow), using the mainframe as an Oracle client, managed disk and tape storage, printing services, scientific statistical systems, secure file transfer technologies such as Connect: Direct and SSH (Secure Shell), disaster recovery, and off-site storage services.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I reset my Titan account password?
A: If you are receiving an invalid password error message or you do not remember your Titan account password you can reset the password using these methods:
- Go to http://titan.nih.gov.
- Under the ACCOUNTS section select the PASSWORD RESET for Titan passwords via NIH Login link.
- Enter your NIH Login credentials.
- Under the TITAN PASSWORD RESET category:
Using Web RACF
- Enter your Titan userid in the first field.
- Enter your new password in the second field.
- Reenter your new password in the third field for confirmation. NOTE: The password must be 7-8 characters long and must include at least one alpha character, at least one numeric character and least one of the following special characters: #, @ or $.
If you know your Titan password and you want to change it, go to:
http://titan.nih.gov/racf and select Change RACF password.
- As a last resort, ask your account sponsor to reset your password.
Q: When I try to log in to the Titan system, the login error message says I am already logged on. How can I cancel my old session?
A: This error is caused when your last logoff from the system was not fully processed by the Titan system. You can cancel your existing session by implementing the following steps:
- Using your browser, go to http://titan.nih.gov/
- From MAINFRAME category, select TSO COMMANDS.
- Login with your Titan userid and password.
- In the next window, use the drop down link in the COMMAND dialogue window and select CANCEL TSO User.
- Next enter your userid in the Job or Data Set Name window; click Enter.
You should receive the following message: CANCEL COMMAND ACCEPTED and you can now log back onto the system.

Q: I used to use WYLBUR to manage mainframe data sets. How can I perform common functions such as delete, list, or list offline (print) my mainframe data sets?
